Editorial Standards
How product pages, guides, corrections, bylines, and disclosures stay consistent.
The tone is editorial, but the workflow is evidence-led.
How we cover K-beauty#
Each product page starts with structured product data, normalized brand and product names, current category placement, image quality checks, review volume, rating data when available, and repeated reviewer themes. We read for practical beauty cues: watery or tacky texture, sunscreen pilling, scent, cushion, velvet finish, post-acne fading routines, and whether a product sounds gentle or potentially irritating. When evidence is thin, the copy says so.
How we write recommendations#
We prefer direct language over hype. A recommendation should explain the tradeoff: a toner may be elegant under makeup but too light for very dry skin; a cleanser may be satisfying at night but too much for a compromised barrier; a serum may be worth comparing only if you tolerate its hero ingredient. We avoid miracle claims, medical claims, and invented personal experiences.
Conflict of interest policy#
KBeauty Signal may earn from qualifying purchases through disclosed affiliate links. Affiliate availability does not decide rank, guide inclusion, product order, or whether a page receives more favorable language. If a product lacks a shopping link but has stronger evidence, it can still appear above a product with a link.
Sourcing and translation#
The site uses source-agnostic Korean-market data, review themes, product metadata, image checks, and search-interest patterns. Public copy does not name private source partners. Korean product names are normalized into readable English, with care taken not to over-translate brand-owned names or turn package-size fragments into product titles.
Corrections#
Product names, images, categories, shopping links, and generated editorial copy can be corrected when they are wrong or stale. Corrections prioritize shopper harm first: wrong product identity, misleading texture notes, incorrect category placement, broken links, and copy that overstates what the evidence supports.

Editorial attribution#
We attribute pages to the KBeauty Signal Research Team, not to individual people. We don't publish personal bylines, named editors, or claims of hands-on testing by a specific author. Our standards cover shopper-friendly language, comparison framing, and affiliate independence, applied consistently across data-generated pages.
